Top 100 Songs - April 23rd, 2012

So, every so often you I come across a song, usually by accident or because a friend posted a link somewhere, and I listen to it, and I think "Wow, not bad, not bad at all" *strokes non-existent beard*. I then, accidently on purpose, repeat that song 20 times in a row and get my close friends all hooked on it as well. It happened with Carly Rae Jepsen back in December when I first debuted the song on my personal chart (and as you can see, who is still in the top spot?).

It's happened again with a happy dancey, dare I say it, gay-as-all-hell track entitled "#TOTDF" by Jonny McGovern. I seriously can't stop replaying this tune, to the point where it may become one of those songs that leaves the chart very quickly because it's been played to death. I was surprised when I heard it because normally Jonny's songs are so crude and inappropriate beyond belief. I mean, this one still is, but it's waaaaaay tamer.
But so far, so good, and it enters my chart with a bullet-debut into the 4th spot. Aussie girls Ricki-Lee and Delta hold him off in postions 2 and 3 respectively.
Reba makes a return to the Top 10, spurred by her performance as part of a various artists debut further down the chart.

Another relatively high debut this week is Azealia Banks with a *gasp* RAP song getting stuck in my head, although if you ask me what the heck the song is about, I really couldn't tell you! I'm still struggling to understand even two lines from the song

Carrie, Darren, J-Lo and *ahem* yes, I admit it I am a fan, Reece, all make massive jumps on the chart just to impress the artists around them.

I've rambled on enough for another week - couple more newbies on the chart this week, take a look, or don't - either way, I'm just happy my number 1 knocked off that God-awful-band-Train down a pozzie on the GlobalChart this week
